심심치않게 언급되는 “웹2.0은 죽었다!”의 논(論)속에서

대표적인 성격의 Twitter.com에 대한 대안(?)으로써 평가받는 사이트들을 집중 조명한 글(“What if twitter dissapeared? Top 40 Twitter alternatives w/reviews”)이 있어 소개한다.

웹2.0 혹은 Twitter.com의 쇄락을 히틀러의 마지막을 비유한 동영상으로 표현했다.

재미있는 비유이다.

위의 사이트들이 바로 일명 “some of the instant media network alternatives : 소셜미디아(Social Media)의 새로운 유형 또는 대안”으로 평가받는 사이트들이다.

쭉 보면 어떤 것은 그대로 Twitter.com을 복사한 듯한 서비스들도 있지만, 몇몇 사이트을 독장척이고 차별화된 Social network service의 모델을 제시하고 있다.

Twitter.com은
그야말로 “twitter[twt] : 1. (새가) 지저귀다. 2. 재잘거리다(on, away)[about]. ━ 1. (새가) 지저귀며 …을 나타내다; (사람이) …을 속삭이듯 말하다.”에 충실했고, 그 간단함에 사람들은 모이고 “what you're doing?”은 외쳤지만, 그 가벼움이 오히려 허무함을 부르는지도 모르겠다.

이제 특별한 목적/이유가 필요한지도 모르겠다.

위의 40개의 특별한 사이트들 중 다시 그들이 직접 이용을 한 후 리뷰를 쓴 사이트들을 따로 간츄렸는데, 아래와 같다.

마지막으로 이 글의 첫 문구가 생각을 깊게 한다.

작년 이맘때 그러니깐 정확히 2006년4월.
아마도 많은 웹서비스업체들의 프로그램머들이 마지막 다금질, 마지막 버그찾기에 충혈된 눈으로 작업에 몰두 했으리라.... 머 특별히 작년 이맘때만 그랬을까마는...

2006년4월은 간간히 또는 본격적으로 이야기되어온 웹2.0에 대한 대단히 실험이거나 대단히 모험적인 웹서비스 사이트들이 출현하기 시작했지 않을까한다.

한국의 웹 2.0 리스트 v0.42 베타 에서 보듯이 "야후 허브(Yahoo Hub), 네이트 미니채널(MiniCh), 네이버 블링크(Naver Blink), 북마커(Bookmarkr.net) ...." 이들을 위시해서 정말 웹2.0이라는 블로거들사이에서도 그게 먼지도 잘모르는 개념이 눈앞에 웹상에 펼쳐지기 시작했다는...
그리고 쪼끔 더 흐르면 "웹2.0? 그래 좋은데 그래서 돈을 벌수 있다는거야?"라는 명제에 봉착하게 된듯한데...

모두들 잘들 계시죠?

정말 나는 그 개발자의 노고와는 상관없이 지금 어떤 웹2.0 서비스를 이용하고 있을까요?
올해 2007년4월은 또 어떤 웹2.0(조금은 진부하고 지겹고 굉장히 중요한) 서비스가 우리의 가슴을 설레이게 할런지요....
